Fusion

Fusion is an operation in the spine where two adjacent or more vertebrae remain firmly connected to each other with bone bridges so that there is no mobility between the bone sections involved.
It is achieved by placing bone grafts between the bone structures, but the cohorting process is time-consuming and in the middle the involved bone sections are not sufficiently stabilized.
For this reason, titanium screws and connecting rods are mounted on said bone sections to provide immediate stabilization, which facilitates the achievement of a stable fusion.
